Contest Info: Our 3rd Annual event will bring the some of the best skateboarders in the world to Albuquerque to compete for the title of "All Around Skater". We'll run an Open Class and Pro Class and add new classes this year for Women and Masters (40 and over). We expect to have a large turnout of racers from around the world and across the US. Last year we had 39 racers with competitors traveling from as far away as Brazil, and many excited spectators lining the race course.

The first event will be a Downhill Skateboard Race near the Sandia Ski Area on Saturday. This world class course has 10 turns in one mile with 2 sharp hairpins and speeds near 50mph. Last year Dane Van Bommel won this race. We'll have shuttled Ditch Play until 7:00pm when the event moves to the Los Altos Skatepark for Elective Events.

Long Grinds, 360's and High Jump (both ollie over and board under). Points will be awarded by the foot, totalled from each event and combined with the Race points to determine the best "All Around Skater". Elective events are worth about 1/2 the points as the Races. One truck grinds are worth twice the points as two truck grinds. Last year Brad Edwards won with a 21 ft grind (two truck).
360's are worth one point each up to 50. (The Carrasco Clause).

TimeShip Racing has decided not to add in points from previous events, and will combine all event points from this weekend only. Prize money will only be awarded for the "All Around Skater" categories: Masters, Pro and Women. Open Class will be showered with prizes and schwag. Last year Dave "Caveman" Bryant won the "All Around".

On Sunday we'll run a Super Giant Slalom Race near the Airport, setting a challenging course with cones that will demand quick turns at 25 to 30 mph, and lots of skill to make it through. Shuttled Ditch Play until dark or noodle legs set in. We'll hold the Awards Ceremony at Los Altos that evening.

We are proud to announce that the American Gravity Racers Organization will be sanctioning our event as part of their 2003 point series. AGRO is a non-profit dedicated to promoting racing, safety and education.

Registration will be at the Los Altos Skatepark on Friday the 19th from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and on the Sandia hill on Saturday morning from 7:00am til 8:00am.

These hotels are reasonably priced, and right next to eachother. They are also near food and a five minute walk to the Los Altos Skatepark.
